About Moose

Location: Palmhurst, Texas DOB: 05/17/2017 Some dogs wiggle when they are excited; some dogs jump. Not Moose (that's ME!). You can tell I'm excited when my big ears stick straight up. I'm in need of a foster family but what I really want is a family of my own. Must love to cuddle! I LOVE being near my people at all times - I'm a typical Velcro Dane. If you want to make me extra happy then let me crawl into your lap so you can hold me like a baby. That is the best ever! Must have toys! I love toys SO MUCH (especially stuffed animals and my jolly ball) and I would be so happy if there were a lot of toys at my forever home. Must have patience! I sometimes forget that people aren't going to hurt me anymore and I can get a little grumbly if a stranger tries to touch me. I also am very worried about people coming into my house or space who I don't know. I just want to make sure my family is safe. If you introduce me slowly and gently to a new person and you show me that they can be trusted, then I am happy to be friends with them and give them lots of cuddles too. I just don't like surprises and quick introductions. I do not like to be around kids so I will need a child-free home. Cats: Done okay with cats Dogs: Would love to have a large dog playmate as long as they know that I'm the boss. I haven't met any little dogs. I broke my leg pretty badly a couple years ago. The break in my leg healed itself; the damage is not able to be surgically repaired. Don't worry though, I have learned to get around no problem and even use my broken leg sometimes. I can walk and run just like any other dog. I'm not going to let a silly thing like a broken leg stop me from doing the things that I love. I am so excited to meet my forever family and I have so much to offer.
