About Opal

OPAL NEEDS A HERO!! (Watch her video) Opal's spirit is breaking, she has been in the shelter for OVER A YEAR! Opal is such a sweetheart and loves everyone she meets! She knows to sit for treats, she is a smart girl and eager to please. Opal has been in the shelter since 6/01/2020. Opal needs to be an only pet, she does not get along with other dogs and will not be cat friendly. She loves attention and will be a fantastic companion to a lucky family. She has a routine of coming into the office daily when she gets walked, she knows where the treat bowl is at and comes in and waits for her treat. Opal would be best in a home with older children or only adults as she tends to jump and does not know her size. She just needs a loving family that will be willing to work with her on her manners. Opal is 2 years old, she weighs 65 lbs, she has been spayed, she is heartworm free, current on all of her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and she is microchipped. Opal stays in a shelter in Mississippi, she is available for a virtual meet and greet as well as more videos and photos are available upon request. ~~A VET REFERENCE IS REQUIRED~~ We can provide transport for Opal once she has a committed adopter.
