About DD

This terrier mixed girl is about 1.5 years old. She weighs about 15 lbs and is full grown. She has been spayed, microchipped, she is heartworm negative, up to date on all her vaccine and on monthly prevention. She does very well with dogs of all sizes and shows a curiosity towards cats but hasn't ever displayed any negative behavior. She is crate trained, leash trained, doggy door trained and knows basic commands. She is small but feisty and would go best in a home where there are other playful dogs and that are tolerant of a little dog thinking she is boss. She is a little treat/food and toy protective. But will run and play and wrestle all day long with the other dogs. She is a person claimer dog to some degree. She at times makes herself wedged between her foster and the other dogs close by and try's to vocalize against other dogs jumping up next to the foster when she is in their lap. She has more of a want to be boss attitude but never violent. She is pretty much all grumble. There are 9 dogs of all sizes where she is and they just shrug it off. She certainly would need the family to continue to work with her as she settles in and gets more secure. Most likely she has had to fend for herself and could have a little anxiety. She is enjoying life with the other dogs and knowing she has food and a warm place to rest her head. If you are interested in adoption please complete the application on our website.
