About Arlo

This classic blue boy is Arlo, a 9 months old Australian Cattledog. He weighs about 40 pounds. Arlo is house and crate trained. He also knows how to use a dog door. He knows basic commands (sit) plus will give a paw on command. Due to Covid, and neighbor kids who poke at him through the fence, Arlo hasn't had a lot of chances to meet nice, new folks. He can be scared and will need someone who goes slow and shows him that people are good. He will appreciate a quiet home in a less urban environment where the neighborhood is not too busy. Arlo does live with his siblings and plays with them. Recently a stray came into the yard and got into a fight with Arlo. He accidentally bit his person when she tried to break up the fight. He released immediately and whimpered. Really, he hasn't been socialized with other dogs beyond his siblings, so should be an only dog to start. His adopters will need to work on socializing him. For that person who takes time with him, he is a neat dog. He loves to fetch and play tug. He also likes to do dog puzzles. Arlo is leash trained but pulls, so leash work will be helpful for him. He is good in the car, laying down for most of the ride, so will be a good travel companion. He is already a good hiking and camping pal. Arlo is a fun boy. He's also on the go. Has a ton of energy and always want to play. He is also very loyal and loving to his owners. He is a true sidekick, wanting to always be close to them. Arlo is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Apple Valley, CA. We do not ship our dogs. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required.
