I won't be able to take Moose with me to my new home because he weighs 50 pounds. He is a great dog. He's been through a lot. (I can expound if you would like.) Moose's main 'neurosis' is resource guarding. This is why he was not able to be adopted by some friends who already have a dog. Moose gets along with others UNTIL they get close to his food or water dish, then he goes on the offensive, attacking whoever gets too close. He has never seriously hurt another dog or cat, but I am afraid he might. He has attacked a friend's dog, in a park, because they both went to a water dish at the same time. He has attacked one of my cats four times now, because the cat walked too close to his dish... even though the cat loves Moose. I would worry about small children who might be curious about his food dishes (this has NOT happened so far). He also hates birds and bees... Normally Moose is a sweet, loving guy who just wants to be loved in return.
