About Shay

Shay came from Texas and she was a Dead Dog Walking. She was scheduled to be euthanized and we were able to rescue her in the nick of time. She is such a sweet , fun and energetic lady. She is 1 year old and 40 lbs. What made us fall in love with her is when we saw her video at the shelter. The staff removed her from her kennel and took her into their office. There were toys on the floor and they threw the ball. She looked at the ball but did not retrieve. She ran back to the staff and just wanted a hug from them. She would not leave their side. She didn't care about toys or balls, she knew her time was up. Yes, dogs know. She just wanted love and safety. She was a scared girl there at the shelter. She has come around. She loves all people and she seems to love all dogs. She is full of energy and loves to run and play now. She is a happy girl here, but she wants and needs her forever family. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.��%BD%A0 Adoption Info: We require a fenced in back yard ( physical fence)��%BD%A0 and our policy is no small children under the age of 7 which is for the protection of our dog and your child. As many of our dogs come from a bad shelter environment or living conditions, most of our dogs need an adopter��%BD%A0who is home more.��%BD%A0This is for the best interest of the dog. Most of our dogs need��%BD%A0training and most importantly lots of companionship.��%BD%A0 Crating can have negative consequences when misused. Most of our dogs cannot free roam either when owners leave, as they will get into things. If they can free roam it will be included in their description. We prefer to get them on a path of socialization and training from the onset.��%BD%A0 Therefore, we are looking for a home where an adult primary caretaker is home more.��%BD%A0We do not want our dogs crated for more than a few hours a day.
