About Oliver

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. Oliver needs older children in the home. 1 year old male Pom mix, about 10 pounds. Oliver is a young energetic spunky guy. His ideal forever family will have plenty of sturdy toys for him and time to play! He will do best in a home without young children as he is still learning his manners. He is also looking for a home with a dog or dogs already. Oliver benefits greatly from having a balanced pack show him the way. Oliver will need to continue his balanced training. He is clever and young and so this is very important. He is currently working on walking on a leash without leash reactivity and making great progress. His forever home will need to continue this work. He is a very fast and food motivated learner. Oliver also has a sweet personality and wants to please once he understands what you want. He bumps his hanging leash when he wants to go out. He has learned 'spin' and 'sit' and we are working diligently on 'gentle' because he vigorously loves treats! He sleeps well in his crate and gets along with dogs. His only flaw with other dogs is understanding when they don't want to play! He is very charming and funny and loves affection and playtime. Oliver is looking for a loving and calm house to call his own. Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
