About Holly

Holly is a 4 ��%BD��%BD%BD%BD yr old cattle dog/corgi mix weighing 41 lbs. She is spayed and up to date on all of her shots. We adopted Holly 4 years ago from a rescue group in Texas. She was around young children and other dogs at that time, but has not been around kids since. She has not been tested with cats, chickens, or other farm animals. Holly is a loving sweet dog. She is very active and loves to play fetch with tennis balls, go on walks and ride in the car. She sleeps on a dog bed in our bedroom and is crate trained. She gets along very well with our male terrier mix who is 3 yrs old and has done fine while she has been at doggie day camp. Unfortunately, she is dog aggressive towards our female dogs. I took Holly to Off Leash K9 training. The training did not go well because they were using a shock collar which made her more agitated and upset. We contacted another trainer to come into our home to help us with all 4 of our dogs, and she worked with them on walking well on a leash, come, controlling their barking outside/when the doorbell rings, etc. She could not figure out the dog-dog aggression between her and our other female. Holly is now muzzle trained for safety. Unfortunately, Holly was also mildly attacked by a loose dog while on a walk, making her more fearful of other dogs while on leash. With all this being said, we think Holly would thrive best in a home with no other dogs, pets, or very young children. She is a wonderful dog, just looking for her best home!
