About Spot

Spot is a stunning two-year-old purebred Marbled Bengal - who has not a spot in sight! But boy do we love Marbled Bengals, and our boy Spot is no exception! ***If you are interested in adopting Spot, please fill out the Inquiry on our website - we cannot answer hundreds of individual questions via the Rescue Me platform*** Link: https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Spot is dearly loved by his family, and after much soul searching, they came to the painful conclusion that he would be much happier in a more suitable environment. Unfortunately there have been many unforeseeable changes in circumstances with the family which has brought them to this decision. Spot is now living in a small apartment and is unable to use his Cat Wheel and can no longer have the cat-climbing shelves on the walls that he so dearly enjoyed in the prior house they lived in. He dearly misses that, as well as the room to run and stretch his legs, and climb up high to look out on the world below. He would love to find a loving home that can offer him all of the catification that he was previously accustomed to. He is a super loving, playful and active boy who hopes to find a family to love him all of the days of his life (Bengals can live to be 20!). Spot gets along with cat-friendly dogs. He hasn't been around other cats so we're not sure how he would do with a cat-friendly mellow cat. If you have other pets, a slow introduction would be required (read about that process here https://bengalrescue.org/resources/introducing-pets/). Children under the age of ten make him nervous. He would be happy to live in a home with older children who have been taught appropriate cat-handling techniques. Spot is a VERY vocal Bengal. If you don't like chatty Bengals, Spot is definitely not for you! But if you love a conversational cat, Spot will definitely hold up his end of the conversation! He does suffer from Separation Anxiety though - if you have to leave a lot, you'll hear him crying for your return, when you leave. For this reason, we hope to find him a home where he'll have regular company. Here are some of the things that Spot loves: Mouse toys, catnip, pillows, laser pointer play, cuddles, running, running on his cat wheel, window-gazing, food food and MORE food, treats, scratching posts, climbing on cat wall shelving, and sleeping between his human's legs underneath the covers :-) Here are the things that Spot does NOT love: Being left alone, baths, nail clipping, and being chased by a toddler. Spot is neutered, vaccinated, FeLV / FIV negative, and microchipped. Spot has PERFECT litter box skills and no litter box avoidance, whatsoever.
