About Cooper

Cooper is an active Border Collie mix. He showed up on our property with a badly broken right leg. We went through the proper channels required here in Lee Co. & was told by my Veternarian they could not touch him until he went through the Lee Co Animal control shelter. We took him to the shelter where he stayed for 3 days with no one to claim or call about him. I then adopted him so he could have proper care on his leg. He had surgery in Cary, NC at the Quartet Animal sugrgical hospital. We have had to keep Cooper in a Cone & keep him kenneled for 8 weeks now as his leg healed. He is using the leg very well now. Cooper is a very high energy pup & it has been a challenge keeping him calm. He gets the outer fixator on his leg removed on June11th. Cooper needs a home with room to run. He would be good with other active dogs. We are unable to keep him. We have reached out to several rescues in our area with no luck.
