Courtesy Posting: YOUNG 46 LB CHOW BOY 'BOOMER', NEEDS A CHOW SAVVY ADOPTER, FOSTER OR RESCUE, FOUND W GIRL FRIEND, AT MARICOPA SHELTER NOW BOOMER - ID #A4286357 Maricopa Shelter, Phoenix, AZ Adorable Boomer was unfortunately found tied up at a park, along with another dog believed to be related to him (a cream female chow or chow mix). Both dogs are now at the Maricopa shelter in Phoenix and may be adopted or fostered together, or separately. These are smaller chows or chow mixes, estimated to be only 2 years old. Boomer is ideally sized at only 46 lbs and his female friend (Blondie) is only 40 lbs, we do not know yet if they are bonded though. While neither dog was fixed before, the shelter was kind enough to spay and neuter them. Like many chows and chow mixes, both dogs are a little shy at first, have been okay with other calm dogs, but not wanting to necessarily play with them. Once they feel safe, they seem to enjoy being pet by people. Recommended to no children under 12, and ideally chow savvy would be best.
