DAISY - ID #A1972124 - RESCUE ONLY East Valley Shelter, Van Nuys, So Cal https://petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=LACT.A1972124 Daisy is an adorable almost 2 yr old, 62 lb, spayed female shep that came to the shelter as a stray on 4/8/21. She is good with other dogs - please see her videos! She was adopted on 4/17/21 to a family with a 14 yr old son: 'Owner stated that the dog was nipping when he brought the dog home, he left the dog with his son so they could get acquainted. The son got up to go do something and as he was walking past, dog bit hand.' This never should have happened! Daisy was returned to the shelter. She seems to nip when scared or nervous, maybe to say back off or has never been properly trained? Needs proper training and home that understands her needs. Daisy is on the Red List. Animals on this list are in danger of being euthanized after 48 hours if the Animal Care Center where the animal is located becomes overcrowded, or are behaviorally unmanageable in the shelter. Animals appearing on the Red Alert are available to LAAS New Hope Partners at a reduced rate.
