About Rocky

Rocky is a very loving and affectionate dog. He gets along great with his sister (our other dog) but does not have much experience with other dogs. There has been one instance where he jumped over a short spot in our fence and attacked another dog that was walking by with its owner. He would do best in a large yard with little foot traffic and dogs walking nearby. Our property has an alley behind the yard that gets a lot of foot traffic and dog walkers, and it is a constant tease for Rocky. He is very protective of us and of his yard, so he does not like some of our guests we have over. This is why we have to re-home him, as we have friends and other children over often, and he'll more often than not dislike them. There are of course a bunch of people he is fine with, including all of my own family and children, but we never know when it's a new person. I'm sure he'll do great with you. He really is a lover boy once he knows you well and if he's not 'protecting' us and doing his 'job'. He has done some puppy lessons but is not formally trained. He is 3.5 yrs old and very healthy. He is a very agile dog and can scale fences or just fully jump over them, so you'd most likely need 6 foot fences. He would not do well at dog parks or walking around neighborhoods with many other dogs. Feel free to contact me with any questions about him.
