About Jonesy

Hi there, my name is Jonesy and I'm a ~5year old boy who weighs 53lbs. I was found as a stray, way up on a rural road. It seems like I was living an independent style life for a while, but I am settling in very well here at the shelter. I can be wary when meeting new people from behind a fence--that just doesn't feel natural to me, and I tend to hang out away from the fence. But meet me on a leash, and I love to lean in for butt scritches and pets!! It takes a minute for me to bond with someone, so please give me that chance! I may seem aloof, but that isn't the case once you're my person. Although my experience pre-shelter is unknown, here at the shelter I have enjoyed playing with other dogs (preferring females). No history is known on cats and kids. Although it seemed new to me, I'm nailing this whole leash thing now! I'd love to find someone to give me a second chance!
