Adoption Fee: $50.00
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

roughly 1 month ago my wife and i took in a female cattle dog, 1.5 yrs, not spayed and completely untrained who had been on the streets for an unknown time. we found it was not chipped, it was needing food and we have not been able to fine any posts at missing dog facebook groups in the san fernando valley, nor on next door or ring a few other places also. we took her in, got her vaccinated and she went into heat, which she is no longer in as of a week or so. sadly, she has also had not training we can determine and is not 'house broken' and while we have been working with her she is coming along slowly and i unfortunately just don't have the time or the space to work with her more than i have been doing. today when my wife was trying to get her to go outside after she had just peed in the living room she snapped at my wife and bit her rather substantially when my wife took her by the collar. i suspect that the two of them felt threatened by each other, but i still don't know how to address this. with the dog or my wife. as i have many other dogs i am afraid that i may have over extended myself with this last new one. i don't wish to give her up to the pound, simply her exuberance could easily be overwhelming for anyone not used to the needs of a cattle dog. so to that end i am looking to find a cattle dog rescue so that this dog may experience the life she deserves. i really love this dog a bunch and in the month she has been with us i have grown quite attached to her and she to me. she is gentle and sweet most of the time, but as i said i suspect her and my wife are threatened by one another and i'm at a loss as how to handle this. we're it just me dealing with Shadow, ( the name we have given her) i would continue to work with her, my wife however feels we have too many others to give her proper attention and guidance. i really wanted to help this little girl but i'm afraid that this one may be more for me than i can handle at this time. looking forward to your reply and suggestions. i will not take this dog to the LA pound, i am not sure it would be a good thing for anyone we have provided her shots and have a rabies certificate the donation suggested for rescue me is less than the vet bills and in lieu of the money we've paid out just help out rescue me, please.
