MEET GATSBY! Make way for this handsome hunk! Who is looking to meet a loyal, fearless, intelligent, stunning protector that is sweet as cherry pie? Did we mention he has fur? Meet Gatsby! A 3 year old Husky Malamute Dog weighing in at 74 lbs. Gatsby is looking for an somewhat active owner or family that will help him thrive in life, a yard to romp around in, a hiking companion; a family of his very own. He is eager to please, playful at times but winds down and likes to cuddle on the couch. Gatsby walks well on leash. He has not tried to escape since taken into rescue but was notoriously getting out with his last home. Huskies need mental and physical stimulation. Adopters must have current, past or prior Shepherd or Husky experience. Shepherds are high drive dogs that need to be physically and emotionally stimulated. A yard to bounce around in is required. Another dog is not a requirement as long as Gatsby has activity. No apartments, condos or townhouses for this boy! Adoption Fee and Contract Required As we pre-screen via email please tell us a little about your lifestyle, work schedule, how many adults, children or pets are in the household, area you live in, house or apartment, breed experience, etc.... We will happily place Gatsby in a home with older children. He gets along with most like sized dogs. We expect Gatsby to be an indoor dog. He is now on a diet consisting of premium grain-free kibble (salmon & sweet potato) and has zero food allergies or skin issues. Gatsby is ready for his next adventure! Your hiking companion and Netflix buddy awaits! Working breeds can be a lot of work so please make sure you're ready for the responsibility, all are on board and that everyone in the household is ready for the long term commitment that training, grooming, brushing and exercise a dog like this requires. Should things move forward to a meet & greet/home check situation ALL family members, kids and pets currently living at the residence must be present. The meet and greet is to not only make sure Gatsby gels with you guys and/or your dog but that everyone in the family is on board and equally as enthusiastic. We do not make exceptions to this rule.
