About Levi

This sweet soul is Levi! He is a 5 year old Newfoundland mix found on the streets of Arizona. At first Levi appeared to have an ear infection, and his first week at the shelter he was shaking his head a lot and growling when the staff came near his head. Levi has just finished his medication, but has still had some handling sensitivities. �%A0He has been described as 'fearful, nervous, and avoids eye contact.' Levi has not been interested in warming up to the handlers to take treats. When he saw another dog through the gate, Levi walked up and wagged his tail! They could not play due to his ear infection, however Levi might do well in a home with a calm, social dog. Levi has been wary of new people and doesn't trust them enough to walk in/out of his kennel easily, so he would do best in a home not an apartment where he does not see many new faces or children.
