Miko was a great house pet, however she is one of few cats who has been spayed but still exhibits mating behavior. I have taken her to two vets, both of which suggested an exploratory surgery to see if tissue was left behind in her that causes the issue. I could not and still cannot afford the surgery. That was over two years ago. Miko has always displayed the mating behavior at random intervals, but never longer than one week. She has currently been behaving as if 'in heat' for over 4 months now and has a large lump on her belly near the nipple area that was not there and that I assume is a tumor. She screams at all hours of the day, and I cannot help her with a surgery or afford another vet visit. She deserves a good home and is a good cat, but I cannot afford to pay for the surgery that may stop the behavior.
