Courtesy Posting: WAFFLES & MOZART HAVE BEEN PULLED FROM GASTON COUNTY SHELTER ON 5/25/21 BY A REPUTABLE 501C3 RESCUE. THEY WILL BE BOARDED FOR ONE MONTH FOR FULL VETTING/ TREATMENT/ RECOVERY FROM HEARTWORM. THE RESCUE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE DONATIONS TO HELP COVER THE TREATMENT COSTS ($1000 EACH) FOR THESE TWO PUPS! THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR FOSTER/ ADOPTER(S) AT THE END OF JUNE ONCE TREATMENTS COMPLETE. WAFFLES - ID #A47643182 MOZART - ID #A47643179 Charlotte, NC Waffles and Mozart we are told came into the Gaston County shelter together as strays on 4/28/21. Both are 4 yr old intact males. Waffles weighs 85 pounds and Mozart weighs 106 lbs. Both pups are HW positive but not for long!! We are told both dogs have sweet, gentle temperaments and are dog friendly. Jennifer Gordon with Leader of the Pack Rescue, 501c3, stepped up and saved these two gentle giants today. They are being sent for full vetting/heartworm treatment/boarding for 1 month so they can recover. The rescue is asking for donations to help cover boarding and heartworm treatment - they still need $1000 (for each dog). Waffles: 'Behavior notes (from shelter) indicate that Waffles is very timid and simply lays down if he doesn't want to go somewhere. Dog to Dog Intro: Uninterested in an aloof way /remains indifferent doesn't engage other dog. Play Style: Gentle/dainty.' Mozart (notes from shelter): 'Easily redirects to handler /compliant. Dog to Dog Intro: Interested/social toward other dog /soft body. Approaches neutral. Uninterested in an aloof way /remains indifferent doesn't engage other dog. Play Style: Gentle/dainty.'
