I adopted Max last fall from the MN Humane Society. He's a German Shepherd-hound mix, about three-and-a-half years old. I'm looking to surrender him because I have some continuing health issues that make it hard to support him the way he needs. There are many great things about Max. Indoors, he's very easygoing and lovable. He loves to play with his various toys. He's house-trained and rarely barks when inside. And when he's with other dogs he's comfortable with, he's very sweet. Outside, he's very reactive and can be aggressive. He's 100 lbs. and will yank powerfully toward squirrels, other dogs, and other people. He's pulled and knocked over people on a small number of occasions. I also know that before I adopted him, he briefly lived with owners who had a cat that he fixated on, so they had to give Max up to the Humane Society. I don't know anything more about his past. Overall, he's extremely lovable and, with some behavioral improvements, can be a wonderful addition to any household. *Also - while I'm based in Minnesota, I may be able to drive him long distances if the right new home is found, even out of state.
