About Bluey

****adoptiion pending**** This handsome Australian Cattledog guy is Bluey. He was born in September 2020 and weighs about 30 pounds, and should grow just a bit more. Bluey knows all of his basics: Sit, Down, Come, Leave it, Quiet, Crate, Heel, Stay, and Place. He is house and crate trained also. Bluey is a one or two person kind of dog who would love an active home but not a busy/social home. He prefers a polite introduction to new folks and doesn't want to have to be best pals. For those who know this breed, you can appreciate the devotion he gives to his his own people. Therefore, he will not be placed in a home with kids. His new owner needs to know how to manage when folks come to visit, since Bluey can guard the house. Bluey also prefers to be an only dog. For his person, he is a fun and devoted boy. He loves to fetch. He is good in the car (rides in a crate) and would love to be someone's adventure partner. Bluey has been learning to not be dog reactive or nervous around new things. He has gone to daycare a few times and is learning that other dogs aren't so bad. He lives in a busy neighborhood now and is usually polite. His ideal home is in a quieter neighborhood. His new owner needs to be ready to continue working on not reacting when other dogs bark at him or there are lots of small dogs around. He learns fast and likes to be close, supervising you or being part of the action. Bluey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in San Diego. Bluey is ready to meet qualified adopters. We do not ship our dogs. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt in San Diego.
