About Jak

Jak is a happy boy and has a wiggle-butt that doesn't know how to stop. He loves his people and would prefer to stay right with them. Or on them... sometimes he thinks he is small enough to be a lap dog. He also loves to run and play. Chasing squirrels is a favorite pastime and he has caught a few. If that is not your thing you can take him for walks and hikes instead and spend some time playing as well. He is a fairly active dog and will do best with daily exercise and a chance to engage his mind and senses. *** Being athletic and having jumped fences in the past he needs a 6' fence and being kept safely inside when home alone. *** Jak is great with kids and gentle with them. He was raised with kids of various ages, including a baby, in his previous home. *** Jak is generally good with other dogs and has enjoyed playgroups at daycare; he does however get defensive of his person's attention in some circumstances due to experiences in his past. He has not been around cats. *** Jak is housetrained and does fine being home alone. He can be in a crate if needed but it is really best if he doesn't have to. *** Jak is 2 yrs old. *** He is possibly a border collie/Catahoula leopard dog mix.
