About Joey 'JoJo Nubbins'

Adoption Fee: $100
Boxer
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

It is with a heavy and broken heart that I'm reaching out to find JoJo a new furever home. Joey is a 5 yr. old, 98lb, female boxer that is full of love and playfulness. She is fawn w/ white half socks and a white chest. She loves to play frisbee and chase drones, loves trips to the beach, enjoys hiking (although her endurance will need built back up), and playing in mud puddles if I don't catch her first, and her all-time favorite of sticking her head out of the sunroof on drives around town! She does great on leash but will tug when she sees a bunny she wants to chase. She also does great off leash on walks in the desert and while playing at the beach. Joey grew up on the couch so I would like to find a home that will allow her that comfort; and she'll act as your own personal space heater during the cold winter evenings! She is good with the commands sit/down/backup and stay (if she's not too excited) and knows to sit down and wait while food is being put in her bowl. She is also kennel trained, as well as house broken. Sometimes she'll put herself in the kennel for naptime. Joey does well left indoors unattended during the day, for the most part'| I have come home to find she's gotten into the recycling or grabbed cookies off the counter from time to time but that is a rare occurrence these days. Joey does have environmental allergies that affect her paws and chin which are controlled by quarterly allergy shots. On the flip side of this amazing pup'| she has become aggressive with my other pup and has shown aggressive tendencies towards other dogs at the dog park, so Joey should be the only dog in the household. She is good with cats, although her idea of playing isn't for every cat. I had one cat who played great with Joey's rambunctious self and I have another cat who isn't a fan at all; but still likes to go up and give Joey kisses when she's laying down. Joey does get super excited when meeting people and will jump up to say hi and land a few kisses if the person will let them. Joey is great with babies and kids but doesn't understand how big she is, so she does have a tendency to knock them over if not held on to. A rehoming fee of $100 will be required to help ensure Joey goes to a loving home that is going to be committed to giving her the love and attention she deserves. Joey is UTD on shots and will take her kennel, bed, food, food container, kennel water dish, and toys with her. We can also update her microchip info to reflect her new humans and I will request her vet records be transferred to your veterinary of choice. If Joey sounds like she might be a good fit for you, and you would like more information, please contact me via text message, phone call or email. References and a home check may be requested. Also, potential humans must be up for a long distance adoption process (if applicable), as we are located in Ridgecrest, CA.
