About Teddy

Teddy is a big gentle Teddy bear, which is how he got his name. We picked Teddy up from a country shelter in SC a week before his scheduled euthanasia (the reason being need for space). He had completely shut down at this point and glued himself to the floor in his kennel. Teddy was very shy in the beginning, but soon enough he started opening up. Teddy had never been a loved pet before, but it's clear that he enjoys it. He loves long belly rubs and is very eager to please his humans. Teddy was an outdoor dog chained to a pole in Dillon SC, for the first year of his life. Judging by his reaction to new people (in particular men) it's clear that he has had some negative experiences in his short life. Fortunately it doesn't take very long to win him over. Teddy wants to be your dog, he just needs a little convincing at first. Once he trust you, he will be your most loyal friend. Teddy loves to play with other dogs and he loves kids. He also enjoys laying in the sun on our porch for hours, watching people walk by. Teddy is 1 year old and weighs 70 lbs. He is neutered and fully vaccinated.
