About Mindy

Mindy is a 4 month old cute-as-a-button girl that comes with her own tuxedo! She has paws that look as if she stepped in white paint and awesome ears! She's quite the beauty! Mindy came to us as a nine week old puppy through the Humane Society with a broken leg that has now healed. Mindy is all puppy which means she loves to play, chew and wrestle. She especially loves the great outdoors and loves to explore and check out the world around her. I'm sure she would be a fantastic hiking partner or camping dog. When she's done exploring the outside, she loves a good couch to sleep on. We hope to find someone who understands the needs of a puppy and can help her through this tough, but very normal stage. Mindy is not quite housetrained yet although she is well on her way. She will generally let you know when she needs to go outside and her perfect adopter should be familiar with how to housetrain a puppy. She does like her crate and considers it her safe spot so crate training should not be difficult. Mindy gets along with her foster brother who happens to be a Shih Tzu. She's a little too rough with the cat, but all she really wants to do is play! She can be a little shy with people, which is just her personality. We can't all be extroverts! She does warm up once she knows you and is a great cuddler. Mindy's perfect home would include: - Someone that is home the majority of the day or can come home every 4-5 hours during the work week. - A fenced-in, secure yard. - Someone familiar with housebreaking a puppy. - A patient owner who understands that puppies need lots of training and socialization. - Someone who understands that adopting a puppy can be a 10-15 year commitment.
