About Martin

Martin is an approximately 6 1/2 yo. 67 lbs. beautiful boy. He has an independent nature with a calm and confident personality. Martin loves long walks and rolling in the grass. He walks well on leash and knows several commands. Martin is a fast learner and is thriving in our care. He loves to learn and has picked up commands quickly. Martin has no anxiety and is truly a wonderfully balanced dog. He is initially reserved with strangers and a bit leery of people so he'll need someone who understands that he needs time to feel comfortable. We would love for his potential adopters to come meet with him a few times before adoption. Martin will need someone who understands what leadership means. He thrives off rules, structure, and boundaries and it's important that he finds a home that can provide him with such. He should go to an adult only and lower traffic home as he'll prefer a more quiet environment. Martin himself is quiet and calm with lower energy. Martin would make an excellent protector of home and property; he will alarm bark but is otherwise quiet. Martin has become one of our favorite pups. He does equally well with men and women once a relationship is established. He's loving and affectionate and has an endearing personality and is very obedient. Martin has greeted all of our other friendly large dogs with a tail wag and seems to really enjoy their company. Should he go to a home with another dog, a female dog friend of similar size would be the best match for him. No kitties.
