About Sammy

Sammy is a sweet Bluetick Coonhound that is looking for his perfect home. He didn't have the best start to his short life so he can be nervous with new people and in new situations, but once he warms up you will see his sweet personality emerge. His foster Mom said he would freeze and cower when she would first pet him, but now he loves getting loving from her. He still gets a little nervous going through the threshold of the house, but he probably never had been in one before. Once he's inside he's well behaved. He is already crate trained and has never used the bathroom in the house. Sammy has been learning how to walk nice on leash and sit on command. He absolutely loves food and treats....that is definitely the way to this boy's heart! He loves to play with squeaky toys and balls, and chew on sticks and 'bullies'. He loves to play with other pups and he's learning how to share nicely. He would be great in a home with a playful, submissive pup. Sammy would not make a good apartment dog....hound dogs love to bay! He will need a nice yard and a home that will give him an outlet for his puppy energy.
