About Isley

Vancouver, Washington Isley is looking for a forever home again, through no fault of her own. Grandma had a stroke and now it is not safe for her to live with even very gentle giants. Isley is a very sweet, calm and gentle, petite Dane who gets along well with other dogs (of appropriate size). She loves Chihuahuas, but needs some supervision because of the size discrepancy. She is respectful and trustworthy in the house and peacefully coexists with dog savvy cats. She has a strong prey drive, so squirrels, rabbits, guinea pigs etc should beware. She likes to sunbathe on the porch during the day, cuddle on the couch with humans in the evening and sleep in her crate at night. She occasionally gets the zoomies, which is really fun to watch. She's not much for fetch, but she likes a good game of tug the stuffed animal. She rides nicely in the car with her nose out the window and her ears flapping in the breeze. Bathing and nail trimming are her new favorite activities as they always involve snuggles. She loves going for walks on a leash, but still tugs a bit for the first few blocks. She had Heartworm, but it has been treated and she is now completely free from infection. She could be a very nice family dog or a companion for someone who stays home. If she was home alone during the day, another dog as a companion would be a good idea. She was timid and anxious when she came to stay with us and has flourished with a daily routine and companionship.
