About BUSTER

Buster is a 7 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua mix. He came to us when his owner moved to place that would not accept dogs. Buster is a very loving young boy who loves attention and his neck scratched. He is definitely a lap dog who wants to be on your lap or near you. He will sit when told and when asked, 'Give me your hand' he will offer it! He listens really well! Buster is good with other small dogs and likes to play. He likely would be okay as an only dog too as long as he got plenty of attention. Buster was attacked by a larger dog at some point in his life, badly enough that he lost at least one rib! We believe he would be good with older children once he is comfortable in your home. He is a little unsure at first but warms up quickly on his terms. He has not been cat tested. He is potty trained but he wants to hike now and then and his foster mom is working on that with him. His foster mom tested him with a leash and collar and he did well, but a fenced yard would be great so he can play comfortably. We know he is curious and he would probably chase a squirrel right out of a yard if he had the opportunity. Buster sleeps under the covers all night and is ready to go in the morning! He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
