About Rosie

German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Courtesy Listing: Rosie is in need of help Rosie first arrived to a shelter on 4/21/21, she was initially very scared- barked and growled for a few days. The shelter staff was able to enter her kennel on 4/27/21, and take her on a walk. She continued to be very scared but allowed pets and took treats gently. She was adopted on 5/10/21 to an adult female that she was comfortable with during the meet and greet. The adopter did not bring her husband with her to meet the dog but was confident she could do the intro at home. The following day she called stating that the dog was barking, growling and lunging at the husband. She stated that she was very curious in the home, leading her to believe that she may have not had much time in a house previously. Rosie is now back at the shelter and being worked with again. She has not had any issues with male staff. She takes treats and solicits attention. She continues to be shy but very sweet. We haven't seen her be protective of her handler on walks here. Dog to dog: She had a previous brief meet and greet with a family that had two small dogs- she at first was calm and uninterested but then started barking at them. On walkthroughs of the kennel she does bark at other dogs. If you or someone you know has dog experience and space to help Rosie please contact 714-699-3481 or [email protected]
