About DOZER AND OJ

Adoption Fee: $650.00
Cairn mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Introducing our newest pair of bonded siblings, Dozer and OJ! Dozer is blond and weighs 10 pounds, and his brother OJ is black/tan and weighs just under 8 pounds. These adorable terrier mixes have been together for all of their 2 years on this earth, and look to each other for companionship and support. Dozer and OJ are lively little guys once they know you, but they are timid at first. Their foster mom says they sort of prance around you till they know you! Once they are comfortable they both seek out the attention of their person, and want to be right where their person is. OJ is definitely the more affection seeking of the pair, but both he and Dozer love belly rubs and ear scratches, and to play with their person. They love being held and cuddled and snuggle up next to their foster mom at night in the big bed. Dozer and OJ get along with the other dogs in the foster home and will be probably be submissive to a more dominant dog, but they have the courage to figure out how to get to their foster mom if they need some security. They are working on house training and don't have any destructive tendencies in the house. Dozer and OJ are nervous about riding in the car and about walking on a leash, but they are learning. They bark often to tell you if they want something, or if there is an odd noise outside. OJ hilariously barks at the mirror as he admires his handsome reflection. They will do best in a home together with lots of attention and activity and a secure fenced yard. They have not been tested with kids but we think older kids familiar with small dogs might be okay. We think they would enjoy the extra attention! They do chase and aggravate the resident cat in the foster home, so they are not likely going to co-exist with cats very well. Dozer and OJ are neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm tested, have had a ProHeart12 heartworm prevention shot, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. Dozer has a broken/splintered front tooth that needs to be removed, and that procedure will be covered by the rescue. If you would like to give these sweet pair of pups a home please submit an adoption application for review.
