About BEAR

Look at this handsome boy! Bear is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix who weighs 11.2 pounds. He is the only darker pup out of the whole bunch of dogs that were abandoned when their owner was evicted. Bear is friendly with people and is loving the attention he is getting in his foster home! He likes to snuggle with his person, sleeps on the big bed at night, and can be jealous of others getting affection instead of him. Bear is playful with other dogs, but not hyper. He likes to run around and explore the yard and he should have a fenced yard or be kept on a leash at all times. He does walk well on a leash and likes to go for walks. Bear can be dominant towards other dogs and would probably be best with a female dog in the home, or as an only dog. He has been around older kids (teenagers) and is good with them, but he would not be a good fit for a home with cats or younger kids. Bear has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
