Meet Rosie! We have spent the past 3 days trying to get a better picture of this girl for you, however her kennel is completely shut off from the public and volunteers. That means that we cannot see her, walk her, give her treats, or human comfort. Our heart is breaking for this sweet puppy who will be put down 5/16! Rosie is almost 2 years old, 55lbs, and has been with 2 families. She has went through basic obedience school, so she probably knows sit, shake, fetch, etc. Both of her families said that she did okay playing with other dogs, however she became very protective of her owner both times. Shepherds traditionally feel bonded with females in the home, and this seems to be the case. Like most shepherds, Rosie wants to take care of her momma and has given some warning nips to strangers approaching her owner. Rosie has never fully bit anyone, however she does need to go to a home that understands shepherd breeds and is willing to give her the structure and protection that she needs. Because of her puppy nips, she cannot go into a home with any children.
