About Angel

This is pretty Angel, a 10 year old, 6.5 pound little one-eyed pirate princess Chihuahua who found herself in our rescue after her owner passed away. Angel is a very sweet girl who loves to follow her foster mom around the home. She usually asks to be picked up by coming over and pawing your leg to let you know she wants to get up where you are. Angel sleeps in the big bed at night, at the foot of the bed, but sometimes she likes to sleep in her own little cuddly dog bed on the floor. Her foster mom leaves it up to her to decide. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home and likes to be with them, but not necessarily snuggled close to them. Angel is friendly around most people, but doesn't like to be picked up a lot unless she knows you. She does have one eye and can startle if approached on her blind side and that likely contributes to not liking to be picked up until she is comfortable with you. Angel has a good appetite and seems very healthy. She likes to go outside, but only on the concrete. She hasn't really ventured out much in the grass yet. Her foster mom isn't sure about potty training (she has a few dogs in her home) but thinks she may be used to puppy pads since her mom was ill and possibly not able to get her outside regularly. We are testing this! She has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shops, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Earth Day will we scheduled an hour pet soon and it's covered by the rescue. Angel is a sweetheart who will make somebody a great little companion.
