About Nutmeg

Nutmeg is a tiny Chihuahua mix that was surrendered after her owner passed away. This cutie is one year old and weighs ten pounds. Nutmeg is timid when meeting new people and startled by loud noises. Not a good fit for our noisy busy shelter. She is friendly and more inclined to seek attention when outside in the play yard. This girl would be much happier in a home similar to the one she grew up in. Nutmeg is a good companion for an adult or family with older children. She needs a quiet calm household with someone that is home most of the day. Nutmeg would be fine as your only pet but does do well with other small dogs. She has not been around cats but we can easily test that for you. We do not know if she is fully housetrained but she does try to keep her kennel clean. A fenced in yard is a must for this little lady. Nutmeg doesn't require much exercise other than a daily walk. At the end of the day, this sweet little nugget enjoys curling up in your lap or under the covers with you. Nutmeg is longing for a home to call her own. Will you be her new best friend?
