About Lisa

Lab / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Lisa got returned last week. She was adopted in November and her family didn't think she was progressing fast enough to suit them. We are putting back up her original post. This young girl is now named Lisa. She was part of a surrender that included several dogs. She has had little to no socialization but is curious and will come up to sniff you when you are in the kennel with her. She isn't sure yet about being handled but is definitely curious. There is NO aggression whatsoever. She just has never had anyone actually try to pay attention to her. She lived in horid conditions. Had never seen a vet, had never had a shot. Obviously she isn't housebroken. She stands and watches you when you talk to her. She will take some time, patience and lots of love. She is young - between 9 months and a year old. She looks like she inherited more of the 'lab' look from her heritage. We are told that the older female on the property (which was a Heeler) was the mom to all. The two older intact males - one was a lab/terrier mix and the other one was probably a lab/flat coat retriever mix. She is spayed, current on shots, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. The road to recover for this baby is going to require work and lots of patience and love. Once she realizes humans are good to her we believe she will make quick progress. She will be available on a foster to adopt program. We will not adopt her out directly - we want to make sure she is making progress in a new environment.
