Rusty has been an outdoor dog. He has a small Bengi-type companion, and he lets her eat first. He loves to walk with me when I mow and patrols the yard. He likes to bring me things in his mouth and is really proud when he finds a glove or ball. Then he likes to play keep away with it. He has cats in his family. the old one established rank when he was a pup, and he does not like to cross him. the other two just walk by him or he by them. If he learns that they are your animals and part of the family, he will be tolerant of them. He likes to bark to talk to me, and he likes to bark at rabbits and squirrels. He likes kids, but will have to be taught more about boundaries because he does not realize he is so big. I got him as a pup and they told me he was a purebred Blockhead Lab. I do not have papers for him. He will be a wonderful companion for a person, and it is with a heavy heart that I am trying to find a home for him. My husband passed away, and Rusty was his dog. I am much smaller and weaker and he tends to be too large for me to care for. He will be a good dog for someone.
