This sweet girl wandered up to the home in the country. The elderly couple already has dogs. She also repeatedly tries to get in their house and in their vehicle, which makes her a fall hazard. When she does get in the house, she jumps on the sofa and calmly sits there. There largest dog doesn't like her, but she doesn't mind. She is absolutely incredibly lovable. If we didn't have so many dogs, I'd take her in a heartbeat. When I drive up, she runs up and just wags all over, with a huge smile on her face. My teenage son picks her up and carries her around in his arms, and she loves it and licks his face. She was obviously someones pet. When she arrived, she was skin and bones and had several scrapes and cuts. She has since put on a fair amount of weight. She is also afraid of storms. She has been in heat since arriving. She tries to get to cats living in a old Studebaker, so she has been nicknamed, 'Studebaker', 'Baker' for short. She runs all around the yard...plenty of energy, but is calm when she sneaks in the house. Since she has such a big neck, she can slip out of a collar. She definitely will do better in a home which will take her on walks or runs. She has been at this property for about a month. Attempts to find a home through friends and family have been unsuccessful. Since she is a fall hazard, for the elderly couple, she is shot at with a BB gun to keep her from going in the house. She needs a home ASAP. I care about this couple and the dog, so I am the one posting this. Once she has a home, I would like to appreciate a couple updates and photos. She is a great dog. I have no way of knowing if she is a purebred or a mix.
