He's a timid boy who when first entering the shelter, did not show too well in his kennel. . He would bark and growl but retreat to his cubby and hide when actually trying to leash him. With continued enrichment from volunteers, Jerry has slowly started to come out of his shell! He went from the tail-tucked pup who was hesitant to approach you in the yard, to a happy, tail-wagging fella who will now actively approach you for treats and pets!Jerry can still be quite shy when initially interacting with him, so a patient handler is a must for this sweet, mellow boy.Jerry came into the shelter with his two sisters (Bella, #A1868481 & Rosie, #A1775955) after a bite incident that they were all involved in while loose on the streets. Despite the unfortunate circumstances that led to their arrival at the shelter, volunteers have had positive experiences with all 3 pups. Check them out hanging in the yard together in the video! Based on his older A# though, this is not Jerry's first stint in the shelter ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD%8F He is now medically alerted for the following- 'Paws are raw, limping. On going issue, would benefit getting out of shelter' - and must exit the shelter by FRIDAY 5/14 @ 4PM. Please SHARE Jerry for RESCUE to make sure this will be his last shelter stay and he can finally get the chance to have a stable, loving forever home!
