About Poseidon

I live in Lenexa Kansas. I like with my girlfriend, my 7 year son and my 3 year old dog Poseidon. He's Black and white, Unfortunately he needs to be re-homed. I live in a mostly retired community, my back yard is small so I walk/run Poseidon. He's very active. He's super lovely with us, he however is very territorial, he needs to be introduced to people before he can safely be with them and show them love. Yesterday, he took one of the boards of my fence and was running around the block (I was asleep as I changed schedules to work nights so I can spend more time with him). There were a couple neighbor ladies walking, they recognized him, they went to my house to let me know that he was out. When they were out in my door step ringing the doorbell, he saw them and bit one of them Severely, he's currently doing a 10 day quarantine/ rabies examination. The officer told me that because it wasn't the first time that he got out, and also my neighbors were scared of him he wasn't a good fit for the neighborhood, he needs to be relocated or put to sleep. I'm doing the best I can to save his life, I don't have any family here, he's my only family. It breaks our heart but we're needing to surrender him to save him.
