'Okay, I know what you're thinking... how did such a handsome dog end up in a shelter. You know what? Great question! I came to SVASC as a stray and was never reclaimed, so now I am looking for a fresh start. My name is Percy and I am a 3 year old or so Mixed Breed. Think we could be pals? At 3 years old, I have loads of life experience and have actually been quite the traveler. My microchip even shows that at one point, I lived in Texas! Wow! I am eager to take up a life of adventures again and would love to find a family that just loves to get out and go. I am an active fella and enjoy all things outdoors. I would be a great match for a family that likes to go for hikes and road trips. Exploring is my thing, so I'm really hoping that I can come with you on all of your trips? I am wonderful in the car and while I am a bit stronger on the leash, I am smart as can be; I'm sure that I could learn easily with some regular walks. I am house-trained and am very used to being inside with the family. I do love the company of other dogs and really enjoy being around them. I think that I would make a great dog park dog and certainly wouldn't mind if we bumped into pups while out for walks. Even so, SVASC still recommends that I meet any possible pals before going home. I am also good with kids, but am still working on my manners; kids that are around 6 years old and up would be best. Again, please go ahead and bring the kiddos to meet me, though.
