*ADOPTION PENDING* It's Dreamy Dundee! Meet the fluffy buff Dundee dream come true! He's an approximately 1 year old, 60 pound athletic Australian Shepherd mix. This bubbly, bobtailed boy is PERFECT for the Aussie lover! Dundee has it all- looks, smarts and playfulness. A dream? Yes indeed. Dundee LOVES everyone! His Foster human siblings enjoy playing with Dundee. He regularly romps with his equally sized fellow foster canines. Felines are friends too. Sweet natured Dundee has innate strength, and spirit! He's a jock! Ball play, yes, please! Dog sports- tricks, Frisbee, or rally or agility might be his forte. He's recently discovered water and has naturally to swimming and water activity. Dundee has potential to make a great hiking or running partner. Dundee does well in his crate and waits by the door to go outside. His house manners are good, and he reacts to guidance beautifully. Dundee enjoys walks with a no-pull harness; he responds to 'watch me' and sits for a reward. Foster Mom says he walks better than her own older dogs! Dundee's been known to pull a 'surf and steal' from the countertop or table. 'Off' and 'Drop it' mean it isn't the thing to do and he gets it. A trade for an appropriate dog treat or toy is a welcome redirection. A joyful jester, Dundee gleefully rolls around- expressing his happiness with every part of his being. All in all, Dundee is simply part puppy and ALL personality-in- training. Dundee's just the lad for people who love life with a dog by their side: sports enthusiasts or families with the 'play together stay together' philosophy. He's still in the learning phase of dog life, and he picks up on everything quickly. He is looking for a Forever Home with children 10 and above who can redirect his jubilant jump-ups. A confident canine buddy like Dundee and his size to cavort with would be welcome. Kitties are okay with occasional 'Leave it' reminders needed. Introductions with all new people, places, and pets MUST always be slow and monitored. This athlete likes to run (and once ran away), and doesn't yet recall well. He MUST have a fenced-in yard. Dundee isn't a good fit for multiresidential settings (such as apartments, etc) Dundee's place will be in an experienced herder home where he gets consistent mental stimulation and physical activity. His energy level is on the high end of average. Dundee's Folks are all in with their dog and enthusiastic about giving him all the time, training, and love this full of potential fella deserves.
