About Duke

Meet Duke. This sweet boy loves people, other dogs and doesn't bother cats or birds. Duke loves to run and has plenty of energy. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. Duke also sleeps in a crate at night. He was surrendered because he had too much energy for his elderly owner who had recent hip replacement surgery. Duke would love an active family. Duke is about 8 months old and 40 pounds. Please help Duke find the loving home that he deserves. Update: Duke tested positive for Lyme's. He is currently undergoing a course of oral antibiotic which can be completed with his new family. Duke is still available for adoption. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
