Meet Super-Senior HILDA! HILDA is a deaf and vision-impaired 11 year old, 45-pound pup that appears to be a mix of Australian cattle dog and chihuahua. She is looking to land in a quiet home. She is good with dogs and cats, so will be easy to transition into a patient family that allows her time to get used to a new home. In her foster home, she mostly sleeps a lot. Within a few days, she figured out the pet door and the two shallow steps to safely reach the yard. She wanders outside long enough to do her business. She walks well on leash slowly with guidance. Because of her special needs, she is shy and fearful of new situations. Flight to a safe space is her response. She won't even defend her food. She has never growled, whined, or barked. HILDA has some belly lumps (lipomas) and growths on her legs, but the vet decided that the risk of anesthesia to remove them was greater than their presence.
