About Jake

Jake is a wonderful, sweet, and obedient dog. Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA). He has only 20-30% sight in his right eye and has no sight in his left. The vet believes he will be completely blind within the next few months. We have trained him to be a stock dog for cattle and goats. He loves working stock. But as his eyes have deteriorated, he wants the be with them, but isn't able to work them effectively. He'd love his new home to have farm animals. Also, probably another dog buddy. He does bond to our other dog as she helps to lead him around. He loves humans, is house broken, and enjoys sleeping in a crate at night, but will cuddle with you on the couch too.
