About Blossom

**PLEASE READ BLOSSOM'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING.** This is Blossom, one of the most adorable little dogs you will meet! Blossom is an approximately 10 year old Maltipoo (maltese/poodle) girl who is about 12lbs. Blossom was dumped in the most horrific condition you could imagine. In fact, even though her owners are the one's who caused the neglect, they asked for her to be euthanized which the vet would not do. We quickly swooped in and rescued her and had months and month of vet visits, medical care, and lots of TLC to get her back on the right path of health. She was left with severe double ear infections, a severe yeast infection from head to toe, loss of hair from head to toe, and very arthritic. It took us a long time and a lot of trial and error to get her feeling better and so we need to be very careful with what forever home she goes into. They will be required to follow all that we are doing for her now. We need her to go into a home that has dog savvy owners, preferable Maltese (so they know about skin issues) that will notice if an ear infection is happening or her skin is starting to irritate her and will get her into the vet asap! Blossom can go into a home with another sweet and calm dog or we could possibly place her in a home with owners that will be around most of the day and give her all the love she needs. She cannot go into a home with children as she can be a bit grouchy when she is sleeping. Another thing to note is that she is not a dog that likes to be carried around and lugged everywhere. You could compare Blossom to a cat. She is very independent and quiet. She basically likes to eat, take a little stroll, and then sleep during the day. Her forever home must allow dogs on the furniture as she likes to sleep on the top of the couch or in the bed with you. She does pee in the house time to time and it is not because she is not potty trained, we believe it's more of a marking kind of thing. She will pee on potty pads which is good. If you have carpet then unfortunately it will not work out as we have found that the fibers in the carpet make her skin irritated. She has tiny, short little legs and requires doggy stairs at the couch and your bed. She can't do lots of stairs in a home. If you are looking for a mellow and sweet little companion who is not a lot of work and if you are a homebody like Blossom, then she might be be pup for you! **WE ONLY ADOPT IN LOS ANGELES AND SURROUNDING AREAS AS AN IN PERSON HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.** Blossom's adoption fee is $550.
