About Butterscotch

Adoption Fee: $195.00
Domestic Cat
Age: Kitten
Sex: Female

Beautiful Butterscotch is an approximately 9 month old kitty girl. Just a teenager, dear Butterscotch found herself outside pregnant and scavenging for food. Thankfully a kind soul began feeding her. That kind soul, who adopted a rescue kitty from me in September of 2020 called me in February 22, 2021, to ask if I would take Butterscotch in as a rescue. On February 23rd Butterscotch joined my rescue kitty crew. Twenty days later, early in the morning, Butterscotch gave birth to her six orange kittens, five boys and one girl. As this young mom's kittens will be eight weeks old on Monday, May 10th, she is scheduled to be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped on May 25th. She was combo tested on February 24th and tested negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. Butterscotch is an absolute dear kitty girl. She has since I took her in on February 23rd been an attention monger who loves to receive pets. She has not shown an interest in toys but she has been quite busy either nesting or nursing since she took up residence in my house. Her coat which is a pale orange tending towards cream is a tad sparse and thin in places now as the nursing of her six has been exhausting for her at times. Her almond shaped eyes are a beautiful gold and so very expressive. She is a rarity in that she is a dilute cream/orange and a female. Typically oranges are darker in color and male. Butterscotch has been such a good mommy to her brood and to a little singleton kitten whose mother could not nurse her. It is now Butterscotch's turn to be doted on. She has within the last two days met both my Newfie/Border Collie Mix and my Hound Mix and exchanged nose kisses with both of them. She previously had two five month old kittens residing with her in her room and she enjoyed their company. If you are interested in becoming this teenager's parent, please feel free to contact me. I do when possible like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters.
