About BAILEE & NOVA

Pointer / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

*** BONDED PAIR !! *** 'Bailee' and 'Nova' are the best of friends. Bailee needs Nova, and Nova needs to be needed by Bailee. They are gentle spirits. Their relationship is very sweet and precious to observe, as they will gently play, but also check back in with one another when out & about. Both are initially shy and Bailee can be very timid, but Nova warms quicker and shows Bailee a person can be trusted, and Bailee will follow her lead. Bailee will take greater time and patience, but when each warm to you, they are the sweetest, most loving girls ... happily snuggling and giving soft kisses. Bailee becomes a 'lap dog', and would be your second skin, if you allowed her, soaking up all the affection you could possibly give. They were both saved from a very high kill shelter and have been in foster together, where their relationship blossomed. Prior to rescue, neither had much socialization with people, which explains their initial caution. Bailee is 1.5 yrs old and about 45-50 lbs. Nova is 1.5-2 yrs old and 50 lbs. Their optimal home would be a gentle, quiet, calm one with an experienced and patient person. A more confident, kind, resident dog would greatly benefit them as they will gain confidence, learn to be more adventurous with the world and blossom by their example. Because of their initial shyness/nervousness and timidity, we believe a home without children would be best. Both Bailee & Nova are spayed, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do it's own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
