About Possum

Meet Possum. He is a 2 to 3 yr old neutered male Husky mix. He weighs 40 lbs. This absolutely gorgeous guy was found wandering along side the road. He was covered from head to tail in burrs. The burrs were so bad in his tail that we had to have the tail shaved. If that isn't bad enough we realized that Possum has very limited sight. We consider him blind but he can either sense or has a little vision when he navigates where he is going. If you are still reading this then I would also like to say that he is the most amazing dog ever. This guy is perfect on a leash and lives to be with people. He doesn't let his handicap slow him down. He is a very happy boy who thinks he is a lap dog. I don't think there is anything this guy can't do. He is looking for a home that either has someone home most of the time or where he could go to work with his owner. He seems to be house trained. A home with limited stairs is also preferred. He does ok with other dogs but being blind some dogs don't do well with him. He would need a slow introduction to new dogs. Possum is more than ready to be your best friend.
