About GARY

*** Available after MAY 17th *** 'GARY' is a 4 yr old, 70 lb. Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix male we rescued from a very high kill pound. Gary is a nice guy with gorgeous coloring, and just an all around joy to be with. Easy going, loving, calm, eager to please and orients readily to a person, walks wonderfully on a leash ... he's the total package. Gary is great around kids; seems indifferent and friendly to other dogs, and even does well with cats ! For the most part, Gary is very quiet, has zero food aggression (you can pet him when he's eating). Gary loves his treats, dry food and a dab of can food. He doesn't fuss at his foster's cats and pays no attention to them. Gary loves to be rubbed and loved on. He enjoys just hanging out. Gary is faint heart worm positive and is being treated via the slow kill method. Gary is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do it's own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
